Stephens City UMC is a proud founding member of WATTS, a nonprofit organization launched in 2009 to provide temporary, safe, overnight shelter during the coldest months of the year.

How WATTS Works

• Provides shelter during the 20 coldest weeks (November–March)
• Partner churches rotate hosting one week at a time
• Guests are transported nightly from Winchester to SCUMC and back in the morning
• Admission is first-come, first-served
• Meals, warmth, and dignity are offered every night

How You Can Help

• Volunteer during our hosting week
• Donate: Food, snacks, toiletries, clothing, gift cards, sleeping bags, and waterproof mats
