We are located in downtown Stephens City, at 5291 Main Street. Take Interstate I-81, exit 307, and go west two blocks to the traffic light (intersection of 277 and US 11). Turn right (north), and the church is two blocks on your left. Parking is available in the rear of the building.

End-Of-Year Music Celebration!
End-of-year Music Celebration - all singers, ringers and their parents are invited to the Ice Cream Party at 5:30pm on May 20th in the fellowship Hall.

Calling All Youth
Calling ALL Youth - May 31 has been designated as Youth Sunday, where the future leaders of our church will lead the service. There are many opportunities for sharing your talents, from making announcements, reading scripture, acolyting, receiving offering, singing, playing instruments, even giving a testimony. Please contact Jacquetta Owen to select your preference in this special service.

UMW
The Phoebe Circle will meet Thursday, May 28 at 12:30 pm in room 102 and UMCOR birthing kits will be completed during this meeting. Supplies will be provided. Call Pat Konschak @ 869-1384 if you have questions.

Get Your Game On!
Get Your GAME On!!! Family Game Night on Friday, June 12 from 5:30 to 8 pm. Come for the pizza, salad and ice cream, stay for the games. Bean bag toss, air hockey and card games will be provided but bring your favorite games to add in the fun. All ages welcome. Challenge to all Scrabble players!!!!

Cash For Gold
Cash for Gold - The Senior High Youth is asking for donations of broken, unwanted jewelry. We will take these unwanted pieces of jewelry and trade them in for cash. There is a box in the gathering area to collect these items.

Sr. High Youth - Money Wall
The Senior High Youth are asking monetary donations from $1.00 - $100 dollars. Donors are to take an envelope, place the dollar amount listed on the envelope, seal it, and hand it to a youth leader. At the 8:30 service please give it to Steve DeGroot. At the 9:45 service please give it to Mary Powell. At the 11:00 service please give it to Cathy Barley. If the youth leaders are unavailable the envelopes with the donated cash can go in the Senior High Youth mailbox in the church office.

Mission Committee
The Mission committee are beginning plans to gather a team of servants from Stephens City UMC and Round Hill UMC in Winchester that will travel to Crisfield Maryland to help families rebuild after damage to their homes from hurricane Sandy. We plan to be in Crisfield Sunday, July 12th through Friday, July 17th. This is an adult team so you must be 18 yrs or older and no construction experience is needed. If you are interested in being a helping hand in this community please contact Kathy or Denny Lewis, kathyndenny@comcast.net, 662-4905.

UMW
The UMW will be assembling School Kits, Baby Layette Kits, and Birthing Kits. To help with items needed for School Kits, please sign up on the bulletin boards outside the church office for specific items. If you would like to help out with Baby Layette Kits or Birthing Kits, for just $30 you can purchase a baby layette kit or for $15 you can purchase a birthing kit in honor or memory of your mother. Order forms will be in Sunday's bulletin. Any questions, call Debbie Jones 869-5468. Thanks for your support!

Attention Campers!
Attention campers the 2015 brochures for Camp Overlook are now available. Register by May 1st and your fee is $10 off. There is also a $10 discount for 5 or more registering together, so we will once again send registration forms in together prior to May 1st. We would like to honor any member of Stephens City United Methodist Church that will be graduating from preschool, high school, or college this year, please leave your name, phone number, the school you are graduating from, the college you will be attending, and a photo in the church office. Servants Needed
Sign-up sheets for May through August are in the gathering areas for Greeters, Communion Assistants, and Ushers (for 9:45am service). Please consider being a servant volunteer for one or more of these ministries.

Financial Statements
The 1st quarter financial statement have been processed and will be available for pick-up in the Gathering Area starting this Sunday. Please pick-up your statement for your records.

Join A Choir!
Join a choir!! Vocal and bell rehearsals resume at the regular times Wednesday nights at SCUMC. We welcome Donna Green as the new Junior choirs' director. She provides wonderful Christian choral teaching experience in addition to her accomplished accompanying. Donna is also working on her Doctorate in Vocal Performance at SU Conservatory of Music and offers private voice lessons. Jacquetta Owens leads the bell choirs and shares bell techniques learned from her bell cruise excursion. David Renner leads the adult vocal choir in the sanctuary. It all begins at 5:30 pm.

Adult Sunday School
Adult Sunday School - "True Spirituality" is being held in room 102. This is a 13 week study, one week intro and 12 weeks video series by Chip Ingram. Fred Fonville has a few copies of the study guide left and there is also a book by the same title. This is a study on the Christian life based on Romans 12, which Chip sees as a summary of the first 11 chapters of Romans. Dale Sigler will be facilitating the class. Come join us!

Facility/Room Request
A Friendly Reminder - Any time there is a need to use the facility for any reason, a request form is to be filled-out in advance, put in the admin box (on the secretary's desk) to be approved by the Trustees, then pencilled in on the office calendar and input on the webpage calendar.
