Nursery Servants

We're always in need of nursery volunteers! If you feel the call to help there is a sign-up sheet outside the nursery or go online at: Nursery Sign-up

You can choose the date and time and a reminder emailed to you 3 days before your scheduled shift. For questions contact Tobye David at or 540-323-1410.


We are located in downtown Stephens City, at 5291 Main Street. Take Interstate I-81, exit 307, and go west two blocks to the traffic light (intersection of 277 and US 11). Turn right (north), and the church is two blocks on your left. Parking is available in the rear of the building.

One Hour Of Sharing
Today is One Hour OF Sharing - Gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing lay the foundation of all United Methodist Committee on Relief work by covering the costs of doing business. This means all contributions designated to specific programs can go 100 percent to those programs because UMCOR's basic expenses are covered

UMVIM Rebuilding Team
The UMVIM Rebuilding team of Stephens City UM Church has been rescheduled to meet Monday, March 31st at 7pm in room 102 for an organizational meeting. We will be rebuilding homes in Crisfield Maryland, July 13 - 18. Please make every effort to attend this meeting if you are interested in being a part of the team. UMW Tea Party
Come to the Charming Yellow and White Ladies Tea sponsored by UMW on Saturday, April 5 at noon. Members of the Winchester Celtic Circle will perform for us and a light lunch will be served. Not to mention eating on fine china, sipping on Earl Gray Tea and being surrounded by beautiful decorations. It really is a fun time of Christian fellowship. Tickets are only $5 but are selling fast and on a limited supply. Please see Nancy Comer after the 8:30 service, Debbie Jones after the 9:45 service or Adelle Gunn after the 11:00 service to purchase a ticket. All women ages 12 and up are welcome and this would be a great time to invite that neighbor or friend to come meet our beautiful church family. Please join us!!

Aluminum to Brass
Thank you for your continued support in our "Aluminum to Brass" ministry to help fund the music programs. The truck will be available next Sunday. You are welcome to drop them at my house or bring them on Wednesday nights. God bless, Jacquetta.

Lente / Eastertide Music
The vocal and bell choirs invite you to make the commitment to sing and ring during the Lenten/Eastertide season. During this season, the adult choir will rehearse on Sunday mornings from 12 noon-12:45 pm in the sanctuary. Easter Egg Hunt!
SCUMC will be sponsoring a community Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday April 13th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The event will be preceded by a meal at 12:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. All children ages preschool-5th grade are invited to attend. Donations of individually wrapped candy would be appreciated and can be brought to the church office any time. Invitation from Fairview UMC
The Fairview UMC is planning a day trip to Lancaster, PA to see the show "Moses" on May 10th. Tickets are: adults - $129., teens - ((13-18) $91., children - (3-12) $72. Tickets include bus trip, dinner and show. Deadline for ticket are April 10th. For more information contact Rev. John Lock at

The Annual Church Flea Market
The Annual Church Flea Market is being planned for Saturday, May 17 from 9am to 2pm in the parking lot. Anyone interested in helping with this church fundraiser, please contact Kathy Lewis, or 662-4905. We will be collecting gently used items to sale at the church's table, again this year.

The Just4Kidz After School Progam
We are in need of volunteers on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The time is 3:45 -6:00. The two hour period goes by very quickly as we offer a snack, free play, activity and help with homework. If you can help with this very rewarding program at least one of these days or even only every two weeks please contact Cathy Ritter @ 540-869-5498 or
